Come and join us for our summer holiday forest schools
Since 2021, we've been bringing unforgettable Summer Forest School days to the community in the beautiful surroundings of Kenning Park.
Our goal is simple, to create fun filled days where families can connect with nature, get creative, and enjoy a fantastic range of outdoor activities. Drop in and take part in our free workshops hosted by local community groups, or book one of our popular Forest School craft sessions.
Over the years, we've welcomed everything from outdoor theatre performances and bushcraft experiences to birds of prey displays and circus skills workshops, offering something for all ages.
This year's programme is bigger and better than ever, with an exciting line up of activities including:
Bring a picnic to enjoy in the park, or join us for lunch between activities. Once you've explored everything on offer, there's still plenty more to discover. Visit the adventure play area, test your skills on the brand new climbing wall, or take a peaceful stroll around Meadow Pond, where you can spot a variety of local wildlife. Keep your eyes peeled you might even catch a glimpse of the park's beautiful kingfishers.
As sessions take place outdoors in all weathers, so you should wear weather-appropriate clothing. This could include a waterproof coat and trousers, wellies or sturdy shoes, and spare clothes just in case.
Feel free to bring a picnic or you can have lunch with us at the forest school site for just £1
We do have an indoor space, so don't let the weather put you off!
